Dr. Mitali Sanghani graduated from St. John’s University with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Biology in 2011 after studying abroad in Rome, Paris and Dublin. Continuing on to earn her Doctor of Optometry from the State University of New York College of Optometry in 2014. She then served as a resident at the Northport Veterans Affairs Medical Center specializing in low vision, vision rehabilitation and ocular disease in Northport, NY.
Dr. Sanghani is distinguished among her colleagues and has held many leadership positions throughout her schooling, including Class Council President. She was the recipient of the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society Award for her outstanding contribution in leadership and service in the Optometric profession in 2013. Dr. Sanghani remains active in the Optometric community and is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, New York State Optometric Association and the National Association of Veteran Affairs Optometrists.
